Spring has sprung in Plano, TX – and the evidence is popping out all around us.
We are anxious to get to blowing or raking the leaves off the yard that have been blowing around and let’s get that grass out where we can see it. Time to hook up the garden hose and give the patio a wash down.
OH NO – there appears to be water coming out from the brick when you turn on the hose bib and that is not supposed to happen. What is causing that?
You Have a Plumbing Leak
Well, if you see water coming out from your weep holes in the wall when you turn on the hose bib, that is NOT a good sign. You have had a freeze that you were not aware of until the first time you go to use that hose bib – a frozen outside faucet. This is usually the first sign you will notice.
If left unrepaired, the water will seep indoors and cause damage to your floors, carpets, and possibly cabinets.
Actually, it is a good thing that you noticed right away. It is more of a problem if you have that hose on a timer so it starts up automatically – and the leak starts while you are away at work and you don’t find it until damage has been done.
If you do have a problem with a leaking hose bib, we are here to help. Please call your Plano TX Plumbing Leak Specialists at 972-424-6479 to set up a repair before you have an emergency.
