Should I Call A Handyman To Save Money?

July 30, 2019 by Dorothy Skinner Leave a Comment

Licensed plumber or handyman?

The question of plumber or handyman has everything to do with sanitation and safety. Here’s why:

Permits are required to protect the homeowner from substandard installation practices and potential safety hazards. If your plumber doesn’t take out a permit for your job, there’s no way to know if his work is done to code and in compliance with Federal and State guidelines. If your plumber is skipping this significant and required step in their work, it should be a red flag to homeowners to question what else they are failing to do and where else they are cutting corners.

Happy Thanksgiving from Gary's Quality Plumbing.TWO THINGS we are thinking about today. The holiday season is here. I know that it’s coming earlier every year, right?

  1. Preparation. Company’s coming and we want to make sure that everything is up and running properly. By “running” I mean that your drains aren’t going to back up and cause a mess and embarrassment. Check to see if toilets are flushing correctly and if your sinks, shower or tub drains seem a little sluggish. Before the doorbell rings and guests arrive you will want to have those things taken care of.
  2. Control. You can avoid most clogged drain problems over the holidays with a few simple steps:

Monsters Use The Bathroom, Too

What to do when drains get out of hand.

Monsters In Your Bathroom: the hair clogged drain.Ever get that terrifying and helpless feeling when water is rising in your sink, shower, or toilet? And you’re afraid the flow won’t stop? One of the biggest complaints that I have when it comes to my home’s plumbing actually isn’t the plumbing itself. It’s what happens to my home, septic systems, and all other things related to plumbing over time.
