Almost Holiday Time!

November 21, 2011 by Debi Proctor Leave a Comment

Thanksgiving centerpiece.Wow!! This year has really gone fast.

Financially trying and downright devastating for many, it’s also been a very blessed year. I’d like to share just a few of the things I’m most thankful for.

Topping the list again this year is my family. I’ve been blessed with a wonderful, devoted, creative, loving husband – making my days easier just by being there for our kids and me.  [Read more…] about Almost Holiday Time!

Just How Available is Gary’s Quality Plumbing?

December 7, 2010 by Dorothy Skinner Leave a Comment

Ever wonder if you can count on us after-hours? Well, we’re not an emergency service company, but we are a family-owned and compassionate company – and we thought we should let you know how much you mean to us.
Phone.
Generally speaking, our last call at the end of the day ends when we can reasonably finish a call. We do finish service calls most days. Some types of things, however, need to be handled to a stopping point and then finished the next day. We are happy to provide work for our employees that allows for our family values, but occasionally we have to extend our hours to accommodate a situation that comes up. And we’re happy to do it!

We normally close for weekends and holidays, but we’ll help with major emergencies that cannot wait until the next business day. We check our voicemail frequently so we can handle these problems. However, we may only be able to advise on how to temporarily shut down malfunctioning equipment as our suppliers are closed the same days as well.

We hope this helps you understand how we help you even though we’re not considered an emergency service company. There are advantages to working with a smaller family business!

Father’s Day Prayer

June 18, 2010 by Susan Hamilton Leave a Comment

Lord thank you for my Dad
so dear,
and bless him for I need him near.
I’ve learned that strength
You’ve given him
can only be found
from within.
No cancer gets to claim
his life,
nor wish for death
in chemo strife.
To choose the shots, the pain,
the pills –
my soul amazed, quickened …
stilled.
There’s something to
Your steadfast love
as he heals
through Grace
from high above.
Lord Keep him safe
and hold him strong,
knowing that his days are long.
Thank you for his smile,
his face …
for in his love
I see Your Grace.

Why I Love my Family Business

June 17, 2010 by Dorothy Skinner Leave a Comment

I’m feeling thankful today, so I thought I would tell you all about it.

About 3 years ago I found out I had prostate cancer and colon cancer. I was still working every day, but now I needed chemotherapy every day and couldn’t work.

I am thankful for my men. Three of them are my sons and one is my son-in-law. They, with my daughters, have kept things going around here. Our daughter, Debi, takes care of the office and schedules work. She’s my youngest. My firstborn, Shari, lives in Wisconsin and has built my website. My daughter, Susan, is a local copywriter, and  works on this website with Shari. If you need a website built and customers driven to it, they can do it for you.

My wife, Dorothy, runs this business with the help of our sons and daughters – so you can see why I am thankful. I am also thankful that my cancer is under control and I will be able to start bidding jobs again when this chemo fog lifts out of the way.

If you still haven’t met my sons Steve, Danny, and Jason – or my son-in-law, Adam, give us a call. They will do a good job for you.
