Almost Holiday Time!

November 21, 2011 by Debi Proctor Leave a Comment

Thanksgiving centerpiece.Wow!! This year has really gone fast.

Financially trying and downright devastating for many, it’s also been a very blessed year. I’d like to share just a few of the things I’m most thankful for.

Topping the list again this year is my family. I’ve been blessed with a wonderful, devoted, creative, loving husband – making my days easier just by being there for our kids and me.

I’ve been blessed with four beautiful, smart, healthy and loving children. They’ve worked their little butts off to do the best they can in school and they make us extremely proud of them.

I’ve been blessed with not only the best parents in the world, but also the added bonus of having the best mother in law as well. I’ve been blessed to have five (yes, five!) brothers and sisters, as well as their spouses and all the awesome nieces and nephews that grace this family.

I’m thankful to all of our men and women serving in the armed forces, who – without regard for their own safety – have made their lives about our safety. I’ll never be able to put into words the absolute gratitude I feel for their selflessness. I’m honored that they are willing to make the hard sacrifices for all of us.

I am thankful for my friends who are always available to lend an ear and lift me up.

I could say I am thankful for my home, my job, my car, electricity, cable – an ongoing list of material things I really am grateful for!

As I write this, however, I realize that the truest blessings in my life … breathe.

Let’s take a few moments to focus on our blessings this Thanksgiving.
